“Becoming trauma-informed is a cultural shift we’re all responsible for.”
I believe every educational setting and organisation needs to be trauma informed and have practices that show and support the foundations needed for both children and adults to reach their full potential.
When people and children feel safe, protected, and empowered, they thrive. Whether at childcare, school, in the workplace, or within the wider community.
In a world that’s constantly evolving, the need for emotionally safe, trauma-informed environments has never been more important. Organisations, educators, carers, and leaders face increasing responsibilities not only to support mental health and wellbeing, but to respond effectively to the challenges and behaviours that often signal deeper needs.
I work with individuals and organisations to create environments where safety, trust, and wellbeing are at the centre.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based strategies and trauma-informed practices designed to:
Create psychologically safe environments for children and adults to feel supported, understood, and valued
Support staff and leaders to identify and confidently respond to changing or challenging behaviours
Empower individuals with tools and knowledge to appropriately respond to disclosures appropriately
Embed connection and a sense of belonging into everyday policies, practices, and organisational culture

Ideal for team discussions, leadership reviews, or anyone looking to create safer, more connected environments.
Trauma-informed practices go beyond just supporting individuals, they create environments where everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered.
While the primary focus is on emotional and psychological safety, the positive effects of these practices extend to the overall wellbeing and functionality of the organisation, whether in the classroom or boardroom.
By prioritising being trauma-informed and building resilient, inclusive spaces, organisations foster deeper trust, stronger connections, and greater overall effectiveness. This, in turn, creates environments where both children and adults can thrive, leading to more engaged, productive, and the feeling of being safe for everyone.
Implementing trauma-informed practices improves organisational culture, enhances client and employee satisfaction, and supports better outcomes.
By adopting trauma-informed approaches, organisations empower individuals affected by trauma to feel safe, respected, and supported throughout their journey.
Organisations have a duty to provide safe and respectful environments for both their employees and clients. Implementing trauma-informed practices not only meets these ethical responsibilities but also helps mitigate legal risks associated with potential misconduct or negligence.
Trauma-informed practices emphasise the importance of respectful and collaborative interactions. By training staff to recognise the signs of trauma and respond appropriately, organisations can build stronger relationships with clients, customers, and colleagues. This can lead to better outcomes in terms of client satisfaction, customer loyalty, and team cohesion.
Implementing trauma-informed practices can lead to improved job satisfaction and decreased turnover rates among employees. When employees feel supported and understood, they are more likely to remain in their positions, reducing the costs associated with recruitment and training of new staff.
Trauma-informed practices promote mental and emotional well-being among employees. By providing resources for self-care, encouraging open communication, and reducing stressors in the workplace, organisations can help employees maintain optimal performance and productivity levels.
I am deeply committed to fostering environments where individuals, children and organisations thrive. I pledge to provide compassionate and expert guidance, empowering people to navigate challenges, foster connections, create safer spaces and promote connection, prevention, and protection.
I am committed to assisting organisations in becoming trauma-informed and implementing practices that prioritise safety, respect, and empowerment. I aim to create organisational cultures that support growth, and positive outcomes for all.
Whether you are an organisation or educational setting striving to become trauma-informed or need more support, having a big focus on creating the pre-conditions to ensure everyone feels safe, knowing how to approach someone displaying changing or challenging behaviour and knowing how to respond to a disclosure appropriately, I am here to help you achieve your goals.
My commitment is unwavering: to empower individuals, strengthen communities, and create lasting positive change.
